WHO WE ARE

Our Story
Archies began in 2008 with William ‘Archie’ Deal, whose love of food was shaped in the Hampshire countryside, cooking alongside his family with whatever was fresh, local, and in season. That early passion for British produce and convivial cooking grew into something bigger, a catering company built on the idea that food should feel generous, sociable, and full of flavour.
In 2024, Archies joined The Fendale Group, strengthening our place as one of London and the Home Counties’ go-to caterers. Today, our team is made up of chefs, event managers, and passionate foodies who share one belief: that every event should feel abundant and unforgettable.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with incredible clients and occasions, from private weddings to Henley Royal Regatta and editorial lunches, each one delivered with the same focus: plentiful plates, bold flavours, and food that feels like an experience.
Now, we’re on a mission to push things further. Archies is stepping into its next chapter, connecting with clients in bigger, bolder ways and delivering food experiences that go beyond the plate. From exciting new projects to collaborations with venues and partners, the future of Archies is set to be as plentiful and vibrant as the food we serve.
MEET THE TEAM

Archies is powered by a team of chefs, event managers, and service staff who share a single obsession: creating food that feels abundant, joyful, and unforgettable. We’re passionate about seasonal ingredients, warm hospitality, and adding a little creativity to every table we touch.
Our values guide everything we do: generosity in the way we serve, a sociable spirit that makes every event feel alive, a love for seasonal British produce with playful twists, and a commitment to excellence without the fuss. Together, we balance creativity with reliability, so every client can relax knowing they’re in safe hands.

Sustainability
At Archies, sustainability isn’t an afterthought, it’s part of how we cook, serve, and grow.
We believe hospitality should create opportunity, not just employment. As a proud London Living Wage employer, we foster a culture built on fairness, development, and care. Each year, our team dedicates over 90 hours to the Clapham Ace of Spades Shelter, alongside our ongoing commitment to cook annually for the Retro Felix Club. We invest in long-term growth through mentoring, training, and clear career pathways that support our people.
In our kitchens, we work with minimal waste and maximum awareness. From zero-waste methods and compostable packaging to electric van deliveries, every stage of our process is designed to lower impact. In 2025, we became members of Isla, adopting their frameworks to shape a measurable sustainability roadmap for Archies.
We also source thoughtfully, partnering with suppliers who share our commitment to ethics and flavour. That includes celebrating produce from our own community, like Pink House Hampshire Honey from hives at Murray’s family home and using low-waste kitchen techniques such as fermenting and pickling to make the most of every ingredient.

A Plate for Change is Fendale’s commitment to social responsibility, tackling food hunger and promoting education in local communities. Through partnerships with food banks, schools, and community groups, the initiative provides nourishing meals and supports food education programs that empower individuals with knowledge about nutrition and sustainable food practices. By combining practical support with education, the initiative helps build stronger, healthier communities.
